Poll Shows Majority of Voters Don't View Harris as Strong or Trustworthy
Approval Rate Has Dropped Significantly Since Taking Office
A recent poll by USA Today shows that Vice President Kamala Harris' approval rating remains low, with only 39% of voters approving of her performance. This is a significant drop from her approval rating of 55.2% in April 2021.
The poll also found that a majority of voters do not view Harris as a strong leader (48%) or trustworthy (46%). These findings suggest that Harris has struggled to gain the trust and confidence of the American public.
Harris's approval rating has been declining since she took office in January 2021. In November 2023, she made changes to the way her polling averages were calculated, which resulted in a slight increase in her approval rating. However, her overall approval rating remains low.
Harris is the first female, Black, and South Asian American to serve as Vice President of the United States. She is also the first woman to hold the position of President of the Senate.
