Marvel Studios Announces New Cast for Upcoming Film
Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Pedro Pascal Take On Iconic Roles
The much-anticipated Fantastic Four film from Marvel Studios finally has a cast and a release date. The first family of Marvel Comics will make their way to the big screen on July 25, 2024, with Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (the Human Torch), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), and Pedro Pascal as Ben Grimm (the Thing).
The Fantastic Four is a superhero group created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and they first appeared in 1961. The group consists of a family of scientists who gain superpowers after an accident with cosmic rays. Reed Richards is a brilliant scientist who becomes Mister Fantastic, able to stretch his body to great lengths.
Sue Storm is Reed's wife and becomes the Invisible Woman, with the ability to turn invisible and create force fields. Johnny Storm is Sue's brother and becomes the Human Torch, able to control and generate fire. Ben Grimm is a pilot who becomes the Thing, a giant, orange-skinned rock monster with superhuman strength.
The Fantastic Four film has been in development for several years, and fans are eager to see how the new cast will bring these iconic characters to life. The film is directed by Matt Shakman, who recently helmed the Disney+ series WandaVision.
