Tragic Loss of Manchester United Players and Officials
Plane Crash on February 6th, 1958
On 6th February 1958, a charter plane carrying the Manchester United football team crashed after refuelling in Munich, Germany, killing 23 people on board.
Among the victims were eight Manchester United players, including some of the club's most promising young talents, known as the "Busby Babes," after their manager, Matt Busby.
The accident shocked the world of football and beyond, and remains one of the darkest days in the history of Manchester United and English football.
