Brock Lesnar Falls Short In Last Man Standing Match

Roman Reigns Retains Undisputed WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar Falls Short in Last Man Standing Match

Nashville, Tenn. -

Roman Reigns' historic reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion continued Sunday night at SummerSlam as he defeated Brock Lesnar in a chaotic Last Man Standing match.

The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both men trading blows and using weapons to try to keep the other down for the 10-count. Reigns was ultimately able to win the match after hitting Lesnar with a spear through a table and following it up with a Superman punch. Lesnar was unable to answer the 10-count, and Reigns retained his title.

The victory was a major moment for Reigns, who has now held the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship for over 700 days. It also marked the first time that he had defeated Lesnar in a singles match.

In the aftermath of the match, Reigns was confronted by Paul Heyman, who offered to help him retain his title. Reigns initially refused, but he eventually accepted Heyman's offer. This could be a sign that Reigns is planning to turn heel in the near future.
