Lakers Vanderbilt Injury Update

Vanderbilt to Miss at Least 3-4 Weeks with Foot Injury

Vanderbilt to Miss at Least 3-4 Weeks with Foot Injury

Los Angeles Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt is expected to miss at least several weeks with a right foot injury.

Vanderbilt suffered the injury in the Lakers' 134-127 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. He played 25 minutes and finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

The Lakers have been hit hard by injuries this season. Anthony Davis has missed the last five games with a right foot injury, and LeBron James has missed the last three games with a left ankle injury. The Lakers are also without Lonnie Walker IV (left knee) and Austin Reaves (left ankle).

With Vanderbilt out, the Lakers will be even more shorthanded in the frontcourt. Wenyen Gabriel and Thomas Bryant are expected to start at power forward and center, respectively. Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones will also see increased minutes.

The Lakers are 20-28 this season and are currently in 13th place in the Western Conference. They will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Sacramento Kings.
